Because the MSM cannot figure it out
So, James O’Keefe got some NPR people to say that liberals are smarter than conservatives and that Tea Partiers are sometimes racists. Big scoop. Those are just facts, known-knowns, and the undercover sting revealed very little regarding what NPR execs know about right-wing lunatics.
Comparisons between O’Keefe and Murphy have abounded of late, but we’re here to clear up why our pranks are so much better than his and why that kid sucks:
1.We don’t edit our documentation out of context in order to give the impression that the subject said the opposite of what was intended.
2.When we fail, we’re at least honest about it.
A pimp and a prostitute walk into the offices of Planned Parenthood- an organization targeted by the right wing for destruction, and ask for advice on how to run an underage sex-trafficing ring... Wait... Where have we heard this story before?

Congressional Research Service report to the House Judiciary Committe, re: ACORN:
The report is 88 pages long, and goes into considerable detail about every federal and local investigation of ACORN that was then underway, including allegations of "voter fraud" perpetrated by ACORN employees. It further lists all sources of federal funding for ACORN and its affillates. Next it summarizes and evaluates conversation interception laws in the states where James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles performed their "ACORN Pimp" stings. The next section is an investigation of ACORN's activities relating to affordable housing. Finally there is an analysis of the legality HR 3221- the "Defund ACORN Act".

The Obama era has been kind to crazed conservative commentators—perhaps too kind for their own good. In a market saturated with loudmouth reactionary malcontents it can be tough for a would-be Internet provocateur/entrepreneur to really break away from the pack. To distinguish himself, ultra-right opinion-maker Andrew Breitbart’s favored tactics include picking fights with practically everyone, gaming the media with wily, web-based tactics, and snorting the odd line of red wine powder (“it’s very dry”).

Nov. 14, 2010- Alissa Ploshnick risked her life to save the lives of a dozen Passaic schoolchildren. She threw herself in front of a careening van to protect her students and landed in the hospital with broken ribs, a fractured wrist, a badly bruised pelvis and glass cuts in her eyes. She could have died.
The president of the United States, Bill Clinton then, sent her a letter. It read:
"I recently heard about your act of heroism and wanted to commend you for your selflessness. True heroes are rare in today’s world. And, all too often, those who are really making a difference in our communities go unnoticed and unrewarded. I am delighted to be able to give you the recognition you deserve. You are an example for all of us, and I applaud you for your sense of duty.’’
But that was then, in 1997. This is now.

July 21, 2010- It's a neat trick. Andrew Breitbart, the pathological liar, race-baiter, propagandist, and rabidly partisan dirty-trickster, posts a deceptively edited video (again), to which media and Democratic officials cowardly knee-jerk in reaction (again), before the video is ultimately discovered to have been a deceptively edited hoax. Then, rather than copping to having been a pathological liar, race-baiter, propagandist, and rabidly partisan dirty-trickster, Breitbart criticizes the media and those others who bought into the hoax that he himself perpetrated.
November 1, 2010- So! Important object lesson for ABC News, here. If you treat professional propagandist and performance artist Andrew Breitbart as a "legitimate" political commentator, you're inviting embarrassment and rewarding behavior that will only serve to discredit you in the eyes of the only people who still actually trust the mainstream media.

Nov. 2, 2010-
The following letter was sent from ABC and received by Mr. Breitbart:
Dear Mr. Breitbart,
We have spent the past several days trying to make clear to you your limited role as a participant in our digital town hall to be streamed on ABCNews.com and Facebook. The post on your blog last Friday created a widespread impression that you would be analyzing the election on ABC News. We made it as clear as possible as quickly as possible that you had been invited along with numerous others to participate in our digital town hall. Instead of clarifying your role, you posted a blog on Sunday evening in which you continued to claim a bigger role in our coverage. As we are still unable to agree on your role, we feel it best for you not to participate.
