June 11, 2011- There is no rush to judgment like a political rush to judgment.

The airwaves, the talk shows, all of the homes of political puffery have been filled to the brim, for more than a week, with absolute certainty about what Anthony Weiner should do – no, must do.

Republicans like Eric Cantor, whose response to previous such scandals on his side of the aisle has been to say he was praying for the malefactor’s family and hoped we would let “the people decide,” isn’t praying, and isn’t letting anybody decide – he’s saying Weiner should quit.

Twitter avenger Mike Stack not your typical conservative agitator

June 3, 2011- The Twitter user who first floated the rumor that a lewd photo scandal was brewing for Representative Anthony Weiner is not your typical conservative avenger, an investigation by The Smoking Gun has determined.

Mike Stack, a 39-year-old New Jersey resident, is known as “goatsred” in the Twitterverse, where he has helped lead a months-long assault on the New York City politician. Stack was joined at the hip in this pursuit by “patriotusa76,” who gave his name as “Dan Wolfe” and was the online avenger who happened last Friday night to discover the notorious tweet emanating from Weiner’s account.

June 2, 2011- Did Andrew Breitbart leak embarrassing personal emails sent to him by the mystery Twitter user at the center of the Anthony Weiner crotch shot scandal? Possibly.

This gets in the weeds of the Weiner saga, but it could help shed light on the origins of the story, so bear with us for a minute. Remember: This all started late last Friday evening when an underwear picture was allegedly sent from the congressman's Twitter account. But no one noticed the image except for Twitter user @patriotusa76, or Dan Wolfe, who seized on the alleged Weiner tweet and publicized it.

June 2, 2011- As the situation becomes more clear the need for accountability becomes equally clear.

Congressman Anthony Weiner was stalked, set up, smeared, and this was coordinated to protect Clarence Thomas from scrutiny.

This is another ACORN, another Shirley Sherrod, another NPR ‘sting’. They pick a target, they lie and deceive until they have something a credulous corporate media will swallow, and then another career is ruined or another community resource is destroyed.

May 31, 2011- On MSNBC’s The Last Word Tuesday night, Chris Hayes questioned why conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart was allowed to “spout off” on CNN about Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY). Breitbart implied Tuesday that Weiner had been engaged in inappropriate relationships with multiple young women.

“Am I wrong in my level of outrage that this person who has been so discredited, so many times, is such a serial manipulator of the media is allowed to just come on and spout off like this?” he asked.

“Andrew Breitbart is not known to be the most self-reflective, remorseful person,” his guest, Huffington Post’s Alex Wagner added. “I think in that same interview he talked about the Shirley Sherrod story being a liberal attack on him.”

May 31, 2011- Conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart appeared on CNN Tuesday where he implied Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) had been engaged in inappropriate relationships with multiple young women.

Breitbart said that Dan Wolfe, the source for a lewd picture that allegedly appeared on Weiner’s Twitter account, had been tracking the congressman.

“I don’t know him that well, he has been monitoring relationships that Congressman Weiner has been having with women, young women, who claimed to have relationships with him,” Breitbart explained. “I’m not saying what type of relationships, but people that @RepWeiner follows. Girls that are quite young — younger than the girl in question here — talk openly about Rep. Weiner, who he follows these girls.”

May 26, 2011- The First Amendment does not protect the conduct of two conservative activists who secretly filmed an employee of the national community organizing group Acorn, a federal judge ruled.

     Juan Carlos Vera claimed James O'Keefe III and Hannah Giles visited his office in August 2009, and conspired to create video and audio tapes of him, even after asking him if their conversation would be confidential. The Acorn acronym stands for Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

    O'Keefe and Giles are best known for going undercover to discredit organizations like Acorn and Planned Parenthood. In one encounter, Giles posed as a prostitute and O'Keefe as a pimp to videotape an Acorn employee offering advice on how to run a tax-free brothel for underage sex workers.
