Sword Of Goliath: TRUTH SHALL SET O'KEEFE FREE?
January 27, 2011- James O’Keefe seems to be a person used by and associated with people who live on hate, confusion and disorder. They can accomplish nothing unless they bring destruction on others, yet they claim to be righteous. They use evil means supposedly to unearth evil. That is not Biblical. The Bible clearly states that we overcome evil with good. One evil does not erase another.
O’Keefe does things like play pimps to “catch” allegedly unsavory characters. The true pimp knave, rascall, varlet, scoundrell, informer and stool pigeon must be him. The Bible says that darkness is exposed by light, not by adding more darkness. I guess it is too hard to report any sincerely held belief that there are crimes being committed when you have evil intent and would rather plot, plan and carry out your own scheme. Yes, foolish pride got Satan too.
Since the Republican party holds Mr. O’Keefe in high regard, he may be confusing being a Christian (Christ follower) with being "conservative". When questioned by the media about the illegality of gaining access to the office of an elected official, Governor Mary Landrieu, using lies and deception, he responded, “the truth will set me free.”
Why do people like to quote the Bible out of context when they are caught doing evil?
Here’s the reality of John 8:31-32. The quote has a requirement: "You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.” (John 8:31). Then it says IF, IF, IF we are faithful to God’s word, “you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." John 8:32
Mr. O’Keefe needs to realize that one must be faithful to God’s teaching in order to “know truth”, and it is in that knowledge of God’s truth that we will be “made” free. You don’t push a Republican button and get “set” free. Further, when we are made free, we must then commit to upright living and doing the things that leads to holiness (imitating Christ) and results in eternal life.
